Telling Stories, August 31 2019.

Being able to read a book and hear the characters as if they were acting the story out in front of you is something we all do, sharing that experience with others is something far fewer of us have the privilege and joy of doing. It is my sincerest hope that I can share this joy with you, the audiobook listener. My goal is not to be heard, but rather to let the story be heard. I want you to get to know the characters, get engaged in their story, and let your imagination create a movie with only the words in your headphones.

Telling stories around a campfire is a tradition that goes back perhaps as long as man has started those fires. Telling ghost stories around campfires is a given and has kept many from finding restful slumber due to the power of their imaginations.

Rod Serling, the creator of the Twilight Zone series took stories of the surreal and supernatural and mixed them with science fiction to create character-oriented stories that were, and still are, intellectually interesting and sometimes more than a little bit frightening. The Sound Book Factory recently completed the narration of a book of short stories by Thomas A. Bradley entitled “13 Echoes”. Each story in this work is very much in the spirit (pun intended) of The Twilight Zone, with engaging stories, believable characters, and interesting twists. Ideal for commuters and those who love this genre, “13 Echoes” will provide you with just shy of 5 hours of bite-sized (non-fattening) entertainment.
